How To Change Ring Doorbell Sound [Guide]

Ring Doorbell

With the help of their smartphones or tablets, homeowners can keep an eye on their front doors using the popular and practical Ring doorbells. The option to alter the Doorbell’s tone is one of the many sophisticated functions that Ring doorbells provide, yet many customers frequently ignore it.

These features include motion detection, video recording, and two-way communication. Users may add a distinctive personal touch to their home security system and make it unique to their tastes by customizing the Ring doorbell sound. This article will walk you through the procedure of changing the Ring doorbell sound so that you may personalize your gadget to your tastes.

Can You Change Ring Doorbell Sound?

You might wish to alter the tone of your Ring doorbell in one of three situations:

  • The sound that comes from your external doorbell chime.
  • The sound comes from the Doorbell when a visitor presses the button.
  • The sound alerts come from the mobile app when a motion or Ring is detected.

Changing the sounds on external chime devices is not a big deal. The gadget includes a variety of ringtone alternatives to pick from since they are designed to announce the presence of a guest when the Doorbell is pushed. You cannot alter the Ring doorbell’s outside sound because Ring has yet to provide you with the opportunity.

You’re left with no choice except to turn it off entirely. Finally, when someone rings your Doorbell or motion is detected, Ring also notifies you of the sound. These notification sounds may be modified using the Ring app.

How to Change Ring Doorbell’s Outside Sound?

Presently, you cannot alter the sound you hear when a visitor presses the external Doorbell. Alternatively, you may turn off the outdoor doorbell sound.

For instance, hearing the same exterior bell ringing daily if you reside in a condo might be perplexing. You should turn off the sound of the Ring doorbell outdoors to help avoid misunderstanding.

The outside sound of the Ring doorbell may be disabled as follows:

  • Step 1: Open the Ring App.
  • Step 2: Go to Devices, Select your Ring Doorbell.
  • Step 3: Click Device Settings.
  • Step 4: Tap General Settings.
  • Step 5: Reduce the “Doorbell Ringer Volume” setting to 0%.

6. Select “Chime Tones,” and a page with the various sounds you may select and the level for both when the Doorbell rings and motion is detected will appear.
